Oct 15th, 2016, 13th Sino-German Job Fair in Beijing took place at Beijing Marriott Hotel Northeast , organized by German Industry and Commerce Greater China. More than 1,000 professionals, overseas returnees and fresh graduates participated the event. BMW introduced the new booth image with our employer core values “ All for Passion, All with Appreciation. More than 20HR and Business colleagues from BMW were invited to communicate with the candidates to evaluate and seek for potential employees. More than 500 candidates visited BMW booth, 190 candidates enrolled into talent pool. All the candidate who visited BMW booth have got a sports bag with BMW logo, new-design flyer and postcard as gift. As the Gold Sponsor, BMW has maintained a close relationship with the German Chamber of Commerce. 2016 BMW Global Leader Development Programme-Assessment Center Day
February 25th& 26th, 2016, BMW 2016 Global Leader Development Programme Assessment Center successfully took place at Hilton Beijing Hotel. As BMW Group's acclaimed international graduate programme offering the talented graduates and young professionals the opportunity to jumpstart the career and a solid basis for a successful international career at the BMW Group, Global Leader Development Programme yearly attracts a lot of applications from professionals, overseas returnees and fresh graduates. Some of outstanding candidates passed the pre-selection process and stepped into final round the Assessment Center Day.
In the two-day's Assessment Center, more than 20 candidates competing for five seats showed their great talents in the session of Group Discussion and Case Study for self-reflection, communication skills and dealing with change, etc. They also get to know the information regarding the BMW Group strategy and BMW Talent Management. All candidates felt that the Assessment Center is challenging, but meaningful and enjoyable.

8th Sino-German Job Fair in Beijing Sponsored by BMW Successfully Organized
April 26th, 2014, 8th Sino-German Job Fair in Beijing took place at Beijing Marriott Hotel Northeast, organized by German Industry and Commerce Greater China. Nearly 2,000 professionals, fresh graduates and overseas returnees participated the event. As the gold sponsor, BMW introduced the all new booth setup and invited over 30 HR and Business colleagues to communicate with the candidates to seek for potential employees and promote BMW’s employer brand. With the lately produced Employee Engagement video, the event was pre-promoted to the target group and significantly enhanced their willingness of joining BMW.

October 19th, 2013, the 7th Sino-German Job Fair was successfully organized at Beijing North East Marriott Hotel. This job fair received over 1,000 professional elites and university students.
Dr. Thomas Kiesewetter, Vice President of the R&D Department and Mr. Gerald Koch, Senior Manager of BMW China Purchasing Department were present at the job fair, highly involved in the recruiting process to help with identifying and attracting the most qualified potential employees for BMW.
Our promotion channels were comprehensive and effective. Besides the teaser and event page on BMW China official recruiting website and Weibo twits, we sent out around 2,000 invitation cards to internal associates, and placed intranet banner and pop-up, in order to promote the event internally, so that our colleagues could invite their friends and relatives to come to the job fair .
The round table on site has significantly shortened the distance between interviewers and interviewees, which is a demonstration of BMW’s people-oriented values.
Besides BMW, Volkswagen, Daimler, Audi, among many other well-known German companies also participated in the job fair. Not only did BMW receive over 700 high-quality resumes of professionals and students, and better understand the talent market, but also successfully promoted our employer core values - “PURSUE YOUR PASSION, DRIVE YOUR CAREER” to the public.

- BMW China Exclusive Job Fair for R&D Elites
July 27th, 2013, BMW China Exclusive Job Fair for R&D Elites took place at Beijing Marriott Hotel Northeast. This Job Fair is for the expanding business of R&D departments in BMW China and quite different from other job fairs, some highlights are listed as the following:
“We are targeting top talents in China”--- executives of R&D departments introducing business scope and vacant jobs personally on site
It’s a common scene at a traditional job fair: Wanting to hand in their resumes and introduce themselves to recruiters, the candidates have to try hard to sneak through crowded people. This time, however, the introductions were made proactively by the BMW China R&D recruiting departments. An one-hour presentation about the R&D practice in China, the responsibilities of each department, and the recruiting needs has provided a deep understanding to all of the candidates, what kind of jobs are waiting for them. It thus significantly enhanced the efficiency and effectiveness of the job fair.
According to Dr. Thomas Kiesewetter, Vice President, BMW China Services Ltd., so far, BMW China has established three R&D centers in Beijing, Shenyang and Shanghai, research areas, including but not limited to chassis system research, in- and exterior trim design, ConnectedDrive, active and passive safety, whole vehicle homologation and new energy vehicle development. China's R&D team are fully focusing on Chinese consumer demand, driving habits and road conditions, to design tailor-made BMW cars to the Chinese market. Therefore, “we need the high-qualified local talents to achieve our goal.”

Instead of a pure company event, the job fair is also a BMW technology show. Besides the small parts of BMW cars on show, the famous BMW N20 engine was also demonstrated to the candidates, attracting a lot of attention.
In addition to the flyers with opening information, 20 iPads which provided detailed position information are available for the visitors.
Differing to the traditional interview room design, a backdrop with a round table and three comfortable sofas have shortened the distance between interviewers and interviewees.

Different kinds of information promotion channels were used in this job fair: Zhaopin and 51job job fair page (bmwcareer.zhaopin.com / bmw.51job.com), large banner advertisement at BMW China Official Recruiting Weibo (weibo.com/bmwchinacareer), company intranet, invitation cards to the internal associates, EDM invitation to top Chinese university alumni agency, and etc.. All of these promotion means have not only successfully attracted the talents in Beijing but also R&D elites from Shanghai, Guangzhou and other cities.
Joshua Wei, Senior Manager HR Staffing and Employer Branding mentioned the BMW China Exclusive Job Fair for R&D Elites was an unprecedented job fair ever organized in the industry. BMW Sponsored 6th Sino-German Job Fair in Beijing Successfully Organized
On April 20th, 2013, the 6th Sino-German Job Fair in Beijing took place at Kempinski Hotel Beijing Lufthansa Center. The event was co-organized by German Chambers of Commerce Abroad and German Industry & Commerce Co., Ltd. Beijing Branch, attracting over 2,200 local and international professionals and students.
At the BMW booth, BMW paper bags with silver logo, new-design flyers and notebooks were distributed to every visitor. BMW light box, one-piece white booth backdrop and curved LED screen, accompanied by five plasma TVs, demonstrated all-new BMW employer brand visuals comprehensively. Different from the traditional job fairs, the bar-like design brought closer the interviewers and candidates. 20 BMW HR colleagues participated in the job fair, and provided consultancy to the visitors, who have asked the questions regarding the job opportunities at BMW.
An overseas graduate majoring in finance said that he learned this job fair through BMW official recruiting website and he wanted to apply for a financial or marketing related position. He had waited for a long time in line for the BMW booth which was very popular and attracting at the event.
Besides BMW, Volkswagen, Daimler, Lufthansa, Bosch and many other well-known German companies also participated in the job fair. Not only did BMW receive 1,136 resumes of high-quality professionals and students, and has better understood the talent market, but also successfully promoted the new employer brand slogan “PURSUE YOUR PASSION, DRIVE YOUR CAREER” and its concept to the public.

March, 22nd - 23rd, 2013, the 10th Sino-German Job Fair in Shanghai took place at the German Centre located in Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, co-organized by German Chambers of Commerce Abroad, German Industry & Commerce Co. Ltd. Shanghai Branch and the German Centre. More than 50 well-known German companies participated in the event to have attracted over 3,000 professionals and students in Shanghai.
